Author's Den

This is a space I've reserved to highlight other writers and artists who I've come to admire.

If you are interested in being added here, I'm open to website swaps. Just drop me a note HERE.

Steve Stambaugh

My science fiction novel, A Question of Evil, came out in October and though I appreciated the cover the publisher gave me, I had a more artistic design in my head for the main characters, especially Blaze.  I ended up connecting with Steve Stambaugh, an artist from Australia, through social media.

I had an image in my mind, and a very bad drawing I created of her. He took that and went with it (along with the cover I had). From the very first sketches he sent me, I knew we were going to connect on this project. He was very easy to talk with as we made little adjustments here and there.  Sometimes I’d see something I wanted to change, and sometimes my wife would find things.  No matter what we came up with, Steve turned into magic.  The end result was of a quality that I’d expect to see in a professional graphic novel.

He made her pop right out of my brain, and I wish I’d connected with him before the book launched.  Regardless, his art will be a web showcase for the novel, and when my next book is ready, I know who to go to for the cover art.  In fact, I’m already hiring him to bring the other main character to life.

Highly recommended for whatever art project you want to come to life.

She's a freelance artist with a great style.  I commissioned her to draw one of the main characters from my novel, "Twilight" back in 2004

Commissioned back in 2004 - This is "Starfox" from "Twilight".

E. N. Chanting

This writer of romantic suspense and horror novels gives us more twists and turns than a mountain road. Who doesn't love a little blood and murder with their romance?

Christina Barber

In the mood for some dark speculative fiction? I highly recommend my fellow author Christina Barber. I recently read “Seely’s Pond” and couldn’t put it down.

Her novel, “Greystone”, won a Dream Realm Award for ‘Best Speculative Romance’ in 2006.
